

“I finished sorting the last of her specimens this evening. I see why she kept us all from the laboratory in her last years. The place is a far cry from the rigidity so strictly enforced before. To my dismay at least a quarter of the collection is unlabeled. I haven’t dared open a single jar. I am documenting the process as well as I can, including many photos to send to colleagues who will hopefully assist in mass identification. This particularly large and well-preserved specimen was tagged simply with the word ‘ATLANTIS.’“ (Factory D)
