I crave to sit by the ocean, hear everyone's Aussie accents, see the wonderful creatures, the vast landscape and listen to the orchestra of weird bird-like noises. I crave a sense of belonging amongst Aussies who I've grown up with and we all just get each other because that's how we grew up, no explanation needed. I have been saving for 3 years to go home and it is still a work in progress. I wish it was just as simple as jumping on a flight. I wish it was as simple as booking a ticket and going home. The years have passed covid has locked us down, financially many of us have struggled with the prices rising and the lack of abilities for freedom in life and to earn and do more with all the world has given us of late. All I know is that I am grateful for you all and platforms like this. Because I know that I am one step closer to going home thanks to your support and kindness here. I know I am one step closer to going home thanks to holding faith in believing for 3 years it will happen again and you reminding me all to believe in me and my dreams. One of the greatest things I think we all forget is that it is in the non tangible that the magic really happens. In the faith, in the work behind the scenes, in the hope for better tomorrows even though our worries creep in, in the love and support of others that may touch our hands and life physically but remind us love transcends all distance. So here's to you all being valuable beyond words and the non tangible magic. I may not be able to touch you physically but you have touched and changed my life and my daughters life in ways that words do no justice. My love, gratitude and hugs Rhy
