On what it means to be human
Finding peace in knowing
There's only so much I can hold
In my little hands, outstretched and bold
But it's time for me to be alone
It's my only place of solitude
For it's quiet, and there's nothing needed
I can dive into my poetry, and my thoughts included
I'm at home in the space I am without a soul
Yet I have found a safe haven in another's arms
It's true, there is so much to be given
Yet more to be taken
It's a day, in the rest of your life
But does the rest of your life, change because of that day?
And perhaps there is a person so special
But they are drifting away
What will become of us if we are both broken?
So I'm thinking we are kind of like birds in that sense
We can just fly away
And I don't think it's evil or cunning
I'm looking out for myself
My future, and belonging
Reflecting...
I'm so full of love and longing
I am blossoming in ways never imagined
As a droplet of dew, takes my breath away
Gazing at the flowers
I'll think of you
