Thursday night as I was getting ready to go for a walk with my dogs a stray cat came into the garden, my dogs saw it before I did and attacked him ( they love my cats but can't stand any other cat). It took me 2 minutes to separate them from the cat but the damage was already done...for one second I thought the cat was dead but when I saw it breathing I rushed to the only non stop clinic I know since all the other clinics were closed. They said it was in bad condition and they didn't know it if survived the night but it did. In the weekend they recommended me to talk to an orthopedic veterinarian because the xray show that is something really wrong with it's spine. The cat stayed into this non stop clinic until today when I moved it to another clinic which has an orthopedic veterinarian. During the stay at this clinic they took xrays of it, gave him IVs, some extra IVs because his albumin levels were really low and since is a non stop clinic and the only one I know available in the weekend the costs were huge. Today I moved him to the other clinic, they called me a few minutes ago, they will perfom surgery on him today or tomorrow and keep him in their clinic for 2-3 weeks(all of this will have big costs). If the surgery is a succes thing that will be told in time, aka in the 2-3 weeks it will stay at the clinic, the cat will walk again. If the surgery will be a failuri the cat will not walk again, will be paralised and I don't know what the fuck will I do then. I'm staying optimistic and hoping for the best, this sugery needs to be a success.
