The major CC companies backed out, in large part due to concerns that people are not verified, maybe being trafficked, not consenting to being posted on the internet, etc. It kinda decimated the platform, and obviously OF doesn’t want that to happen to them. OF does have a seemingly proper verification system for its creators, but nothing is perfect. One part of this is the issue of users (most of you) differentiated from creators (me). I had to go through background and identity checks, provide lots of documentation and verification before becoming a creator. Anyone who will appear on my page or has appeared, they must EITHER be a verified creator (which is why we have to @mrspoindexter or anyone in pics with us every single time) OR they have to go through a verification and sign consent forms (my BF for example) However anyone can make a user account. You know how many of you love to send dick pics, sometimes pics or videos involving others? I’m sure most of you are indeed sending pics of yourself willingly, but there’s no way to verify that, and especially if others are in the pics with you. If you have sent me media with someone else, you’ll know I always ask. This is a huge risk for OF and it sounds like they will not allow unverified users to send explicit sexual images. Which honestly makes sense to me. Most of us wouldn’t want someone using our images without permission. So the new rules must ensure that all media has full consent to protect itself. Cc companies can’t be involved with anything that might be seen as sex trafficking etc and OF doesn’t wanna lose all its money.
