Lately, I’ll sit down all motivated to read – the book’s right there, looking at me, practically begging to be opened. And then… my phone’s like, “Hey, just check me for one second.” Boom, 45 minutes later, I’m deep into reels, memes, and random Google searches like, “Do penguins have knees?”
It’s not even that I don’t want to read. Books are great – they pull you in, make you think, take you to another world. But phones? Phones are like, “Why spend hours on one story when you can have 100 tiny dopamine hits in the same time?”
I miss the days when I could lose myself in a book for hours. Now it’s like my brain is rewired for quick, shiny things. Anybody else in the same boat? Or are y’all still out here finishing novels like it’s no big deal? 📖 vs. 📱 – who’s winning for you?
