A quick update about the cat my dogs attacked like a month ago. First of all thank you to everyone who helped my pay the vet bills, it was super helpful and I'm very grateful for that, love you guys so much. Bad news is that the surgery wasn't a success and the cat will remain paralysed. I had the cat in two veterinarian clinics, the first clinic where it stayed for like 4 days and the second clinic where it got the surgery. I had so much luck with the second clinic, those veterinarians are absolutely wonderful caring people, I honestly never though I'll have so much luck to find some people like them...and I'm saying this because even though the cat was at their clinic for like almost a month they only charged me for the surgery and not for the staying of the cat there because they felt bad for the cat...like I payed to them the same amount which I payed in 4 days at the first clinic. I spoke to the vet from there yesterday and...she took the cat in her house for fostering..she also has some paralysed cats of her own and she told me she'll keep him there until I can find a good solution for the cat..tbh my hopes are she'll keep the cat because she's a wonderful person and I'm sure it would have a great life there. Meanwhile I'm also talking to another animal rescuer who send a few paralysed cats in special centers from another countries...and she'll talk to these clinics and see if they have room for one more cat. I'll come back with updates once I'll know for sure. Also my dogs are spending less and less time outside in the garden and more time indoors with me to prevent incidents like this from happening. This situation got me so upset and super stressed but now it looks like it will turn out ok and I'm happy for that.

Update about the cat, it got surgery yesterday, the vet called me today saying it still can't feel his legs. I'll know for sure in about one week and a half if the surgery worked or will be paralysed...the vet said minimal chances of him walking again, but minimal chances still mean some chances, my brain can't really process yet the thought of that cat being paralysed because idk wtf will I do with a cat in that condition...I'm staying optimistic and not thinking much about it till I hear the final result in a week.

So this will be a longer post. I've been a bit quiet this weekend because honestly I had a terrible weekend. Thursday night as I was getting ready to go for a walk with my dogs a stray cat came into the garden, my dogs saw it before I did and attacked him ( they love my cats but can't stand any other cat). It took me 2 minutes to separate them from the cat but the damage was already done...for one second I thought the cat was dead but when I saw it breathing I rushed to the only non stop clinic I know since all the other clinics were closed. They said it was in bad condition and they didn't know it if survived the night but it did. In the weekend they recommended me to talk to an orthopedic veterinarian because the xray show that is something really wrong with it's spine. The cat stayed into this non stop clinic until today when I moved it to another clinic which has an orthopedic veterinarian. During the stay at this clinic they took xrays of it, gave him IVs, some extra IVs because his albumin levels were really low and since is a non stop clinic and the only one I know available in the weekend the costs were huge. Today I moved him to the other clinic, they called me a few minutes ago, they will perfom surgery on him today or tomorrow and keep him in their clinic for 2-3 weeks(all of this will have big costs). If the surgery is a succes thing that will be told in time, aka in the 2-3 weeks it will stay at the clinic, the cat will walk again. If the surgery will be a failuri the cat will not walk again, will be paralised and I don't know what the fuck will I do then. I'm staying optimistic and hoping for the best, this sugery needs to be a success.
