I’m going to actually steal my BFF @mrspoindexter explanation because she’s waaaay better at business stuff than me, and I’m tired and need a drink. I asked her if I could copy it and she just rolled her eyes so whatever 😂 So, OnlyFans wishes to approach the Market (Wall Street) for investment in the next year. Institutional investors know having a business model full of spam and PPV isn’t sustainable, so OF must work to eliminate a lot of the spam methods here. They have been quietly doing this behind the scenes for months. The company cannot have spammed models juicing their customer for cash constantly. It’s bad for business and for their potential investors. Also, Wall Street investors can’t be investing in hardcore porn stuff since THEIR customers are grandma Sally in the Midwest, and she will complain if her mutual fund at Merrill Lynch invests her money in dirty porn (although Grandpa Fred is actually watching it 😅). So OnlyFans must clean house of that in preparation for these corporate strategy plans. So, I think that’s basically all of it. Ok more boring explanation, but based on the DMs I’m getting, y’all do wanna know all this, so again, if you think all the info sucks just skip it, I promise We will return to sexy stories soon. I’m explaining everything in posts bc it’s more efficient than emailing the same things over and over. So, the other central issue here, aside from CC companies, is the issue of the IPO. OnlyFans has declared their intent to go public, which means the have to care more about who the audience is, what they want, what type of content is palatable to the masses. This is gonna be a two part explanation… part one below: So as many of you know, there have been and still are many pages on OF that are basically just full of ads, spam you with ads in DMs, and also spam DMs with PPV all the time. The customer base hates this. They have made that really clear. When I first started my page, I would do internal marketing with other models, which meant I had ads for other girls on my page. Many models need this, because how else do you find new fans? Well over time, it became very clear that my fans hated it. My BFF @mrspoindexter and I watched the market very carefully and listened to our fans. Fans hated the ads. But we still needed to be able to find fans. So instead of doubling down on this spammy marketing the fans hate, we found other ways. Y’all know we have large social media followings, and so we just market our pages in that way. And we don’t even ask people to join, it’s just there if you want it. At first, it meant we made less money, because no instant gratification of fans from other models. But over time, it sorts itself, because fans are happier and fans stay longer, so ultimately it’s a win-win. We care about our fans and we listen. You said STOP ads and we did. We only post pics with others who are our friends in real life, and even there it’s not done to be advertising, but because we think you like the content. If the feedback was “we hate seeing you with other girls” then I would listen to that as well. We also used to offer PPV videos, and I have continued to offer these on request, even without sending out mass DMs to ask you to buy. I never was spammy about it or pushy, and some fans still really want these videos. But it became overwhelmingly clear that fans were sick of being asked to pay more money for more things. Some would still buy of course, but to me it just felt like I would be more comfortable offering an all-inclusive type page, that doesn’t ask for tips or for you to buy me things or buy videos etc. I HATE sales and would rather hide out in a storm shelter than harass people to buy things lol. As y’all know, I’m a busy working single mom. I do this for fun, but never deny it’s a type of business. It was kinda a life-saver for me during Covid because I lost my pastry chef job. But I want to have a business that my customers enjoy, and also that I enjoy. So I’ve found a balance that I think works for everyone. While I cannot provide all things to everyone, as I am not a porn star or model or whatever, I think we are all mostly happy lol. We listen to you and are thankful for you ❤️

Why is OF making these changes? Let’s start with pressure from the credit card companies. Many of your may know what happened with PornHub. The major CC companies backed out, in large part due to concerns that people are not verified, maybe being trafficked, not consenting to being posted on the internet, etc. It kinda decimated the platform, and obviously OF doesn’t want that to happen to them. OF does have a seemingly proper verification system for its creators, but nothing is perfect. One part of this is the issue of users (most of you) differentiated from creators (me). I had to go through background and identity checks, provide lots of documentation and verification before becoming a creator. Anyone who will appear on my page or has appeared, they must EITHER be a verified creator (which is why we have to @mrspoindexter or anyone in pics with us every single time) OR they have to go through a verification and sign consent forms (my BF for example) However anyone can make a user account. You know how many of you love to send dick pics, sometimes pics or videos involving others? I’m sure most of you are indeed sending pics of yourself willingly, but there’s no way to verify that, and especially if others are in the pics with you. If you have sent me media with someone else, you’ll know I always ask. This is a huge risk for OF and it sounds like they will not allow unverified users to send explicit sexual images. Which honestly makes sense to me. Most of us wouldn’t want someone using our images without permission. So the new rules must ensure that all media has full consent to protect itself. Cc companies can’t be involved with anything that might be seen as sex trafficking etc and OF doesn’t wanna lose all its money.

Ok, so I’m going to explain more about the changes with OF. It might be kinda boring so I won’t be mad if you just wanna like a pic and keep scrolling 😉 As I said last night, my page is gonna be ok. There may be a few things I have to remove, but we will not know for sure until they release the new terms of service (TOS). What we do know is they say “nudity is allowed as long as it complies with TOS”. So what we THINK will happen is the page will need to be sexy Playboy style, but no sex acts (like no masturbating, no sex) posted on the page. We assume this will also apply to DMs, but we do not know for sure yet. For my page, my BFF @mrspoindexter and some other friends, there is no need to panic. The sexy mom sharing our lives thing is safe. OF likes pages like ours (we know because they tell us 😉). Our pages are not based on hardcore porn (not that there’s anything wrong with porn, I like porn) and mostly fit the vision for the future of OF. We really are normal moms and friends, not models or porn stars, so we demonstrate that normal people can use OF and have fun here, which is the “mainstream” vision they desire. There are many reasons for these changes, which I’ll explain in another post so the captions don’t get too long. But you should know, they have been foreshadowing these changes for a while, so we have been watching and researching and trying to make sure we will be ready when the changes happen.

Well, today has been… a day? Crazy? Many of you have seen that OnlyFans has announced no more explicit porn, starting October 1. Models are losing their minds, fans are losing their minds, everything is topsy turvy. There’s a lot of complex stuff happening that I’ll try to explain in another post.
